Could we become Gods?
Last month I was interviewed for a feature in New Scientist written by Sean O'Neill. It explores the idea that computers could simulate the universe and within that simulation, artificial life might arise. Would that make us gods of that universe? And do the inhabitants deserve our respect or should we treat them like just another piece of software? This is what Sean wrote:
